About Denise

Perhaps you've heard Denise speak on wellness living in balance at one of her many conference speaking engagements?

Or maybe you saw Denise and her family "The Wisdom Indian Dancers" performing at one of Willie Nelson's Farm Aid Benefit concerts on PBS or CMT doing the Native American sign language to "The Lord's Prayer" as Willie sang it to open up the concert? Or maybe you just saw her clapping her hands, dancing next to Willie in the grand finale “On the Road Again.”

No matter how you found about her, you know that Denise speaks and performs with spirit and heart!

As an International speaker and Native American performer, Denise has motivated thousands to look within and make changes to live a more balanced life. Her Native American insight, positive energy, heart-felt love, reverence for life and open sense of humor maker her a dynamic speaker.

Denise (Cherokee, Shawnee, Otoe, Delaware) is a Cherokee enrolled tribal member, the second largest tribe in the United States. She is a direct descendent of Tecumseh, the Shawnee leader who believed in unity of Native American tribes in the 1800’s, and Sequoyah, the Cherokee philosopher who created the Cherokee alphabet. Denise also is the founder of Native Star, a company specializing in personal and professional development since 1997.

Denise stimulates fresh insight and understanding using Native-smart tips. She provides creative yet practical ideas for increasing self-care skills and balance. A great women keynoter, she has honed her skills while speaking with Native American tribes across the country.

Growing up in rural Oklahoma in the Cherokee Nation, raised in poverty by a single parent, being first in her family to graduate from college, and being a single parent and self-employed 15 years she successfully kept her Native American roots, teachings, and perspective alive in her day to day life. Denise believes “Balance, harmony, and service begins in the heart. When you truly give to others, you give back to yourself, and the circle becomes complete.” She now shares her success secrets to living a balanced life addressing groups of thousands each year.

Alley is on the Board of Directors for American Indian Services and has led seminars and has been a speaker for Native American tribes, corporate events, businesses, conferences, and women’s retreats for more than 16 years.

She has been featured in newspapers including the Arizona Republic and Native America Calling radio. She has appeared on CMT, PBS, and national television with Willie Nelson's Farm-Aid Benefit concerts, Good Morning Australia, and in Canada and France. She is also featured in "The Wisdom Indian Dancers" videos with Crystal Gayle and Willie Nelson.

Denise and her son Benjamin live in Gilbert, Arizona.

And now you can book Denise to speak to your audience. Your audience will be inspired to look within, have less stress, more time with family, and be motivated to live a more balanced life with a fresh perspective, the Native way!
