positive energy, heart-felt love, reverence for life and open
sense of humor maker her a dynamic speaker.
Denise (Cherokee, Shawnee, Otoe, Delaware) is a Cherokee enrolled
tribal member, the second largest tribe in the United States.
She is a direct descendent of Tecumseh, the Shawnee leader
who believed in unity of Native American tribes in the 1800’s,
and Sequoyah, the Cherokee philosopher who created the Cherokee
alphabet. Denise also is the founder of Native Star, a company
specializing in personal and professional development since
1997.
Denise stimulates fresh insight and understanding using Native-smart
tips. She provides creative yet practical ideas for increasing
self-care skills and balance. A great women keynoter, she
has honed her skills while speaking with Native American tribes
across the country.
Growing up in rural Oklahoma in the Cherokee Nation, raised
in poverty by a single parent, being first in her family to
graduate from college, and being a single parent and self-employed
15 years she successfully kept her Native American roots,
teachings, and perspective alive in her day to day life. Denise
believes “Balance, harmony, and service begins in the
heart. When you truly give to others, you give back to yourself,
and the circle becomes complete.” She now shares her
success secrets to living a balanced life addressing groups
of thousands each year.
Alley is on the Board of Directors for American Indian Services
and has led seminars and has been a speaker for Native American
tribes, corporate events, businesses, conferences, and women’s
retreats for more than 16 years.
She has been featured in newspapers including the Arizona
Republic and Native America Calling radio. She has appeared
on CMT, PBS, and national television with Willie Nelson's
